Practice will be held at Norbuck Park – start time 7:00 PM

Norbuck Park is located near our game pitch of Lake Highlands Park

General directions to Norbuck Park:

From I – 75 or Central Expressway
Take Northwest Hwy East
Go over Abrams Road ( Target on your right/ Chevy Dealership on left)
Drive Down the hill past (and under) the DART Rail Station on the left
Just past Flag Pole Hill (on left) is Buckner Blvd
Turn Right onto Buckner Blvd
Immediately exit on the right onto crappy road
Turn left under bridge
Fields straight ahead

After Practice Social at the Blarney for Doc Ian’s Birthday - Return to Blarney party

The Austin Huns sent out a late notice on Friday afternoon. The games will be played on the Austin Blacks RFC pitch called Burr Field.

The Huns RFC Pitch is located in Zilker Metropolitan Park.

To get there; take Riverside Drive, west of IH-35. Once you cross Congress Avenue, you’ll turn left onto Barton Springs Rd. Take Barton Springs approximately 2 miles and you’ll run right in to Zilker Park. You’ll know you’re in Zilker Park after you go over a small bridge after a stop light. Turn Right into driveway on the right and follow the road to the northeastern-most field. Game time is generally 2pm on Saturdays.

Nasty’s is located on 606 Maiden Ln.

If you are at the pitch, simply take Barton Springs back to Lamar Blvd. Turn Left on Lamar, heading North, and take it all the way to 38th St. Turn Right on 38th and go to the next major intersection which is Guadelupe. Take another right and go about 2 blocks. You will see Maiden Ln. and Nasty’s on the right hand side.

Todays are going as planned. Please dress warm, bring a plastic bag for you kit bag, change of dry clothes for the after match social.

Dallas RFC will be traveling to Fort Worth this weekend. Fort Worth has moved back into their old park (Gateway Park off Beach Street and East 1st) with new facilities .

Please allow extra time if weather is bad. Normal time of travel is 30 minutes from Downtown Dallas.

Due to rain and weather Jesuit has made some adjustments to the use of its fields. Some games have been moved and the fields will all be taken.

This leaves Dallas RFC in the position to delay practice until 8:00 PM. If you wish to show up at 7:00 PM, then feel free to support Jesuit RFC who will be playing on the main field.
