For those of you not travelling to the Bahamas next week (May 17th), we will be playing a friendly 15’s match at Lake Highlands against the Daiblos. Anyone wishing to play, please be at the field at 2:00 PM for a 3:00 PM kickoff. This will be a combined team of 2nd and 3rd XV players mostly but anyone wishing to get a run is welcome.

Tuesday and Thursday touch has started at Lake Highlands at 6:30 PM. Everyone is welcome.

Sevens training has started as well, also Tuesday and Thursday at 6:30 PM at Lake Highlands.

Sevens schedule is posted under the “schedule” link on the left.

The payoffs have been made, blackmail completed, hanging chads unhung, abaci interpreted and darts thrown in order to determine the leadership of our beloved organization.

Dallas RFC AGM This Thursday

Dallas RFC will be have its yearly AGM this Thursday Night - May 1, 2008 (Rain or Shine).

- We will have a year in review from all officers and coaches.
- We will be electing a new President and Treasurer for the up coming year.
- We will discuss future goals and objectives for the club.

All paid in full members are welcome to attend the meeting.

Meeting will start at 6:30 PM. - YES - 6:30 PM which is a change from earlier emails

Dallas RFC Travels to Baton Rouge

This Saturday - Dallas RFC will be traveling to Baton Rouge Louisana to play the Baton Rouge RFC in a TRU Cup match. This is a big trip for the club. The team will be traveling via air and via car.

Dallas RFC Travels to Austin RFC

Dallas RFC is traveling this weekend to play the Austin Blacks RFC at Burr Field. The team is meeting at 1st and 10 (1st and 10 is located on the NE corner of Abrams and Mockingbird behind the 7-11) Saturday AM to caravan down. Players should report to Burr Field around 12:30. Game times are:

A side will KO at 2:00 PM
B side will KO at 3:30 PM

On this Valentine’s Week, give your loved one the gift of supporting the Reds as they take on the Bay Area Rugby Club at Lake Highlands.

1st XV kick off at 2:00 PM
2nd XV kick off at 3:30 PM

It may not be the best gift in the world, but it’s certainly better than the can of spam you gave her last year…

Also, in an ongoing effort to prove that rugby players have emotions, we have moved training to Wednesday night so that the one or two guys on the club who have been successful in maintaining a relationship can spend Halmark’s favorite holiday with their significant other.
