Dallas Rugby is pleased to host the First Annual Sheriff 7s National Qualifier Tournament on July 11, 2026. Born after a need for a new location for a national qualifier, Dallas Legends and Hall of Fame inductees David Dodge and Jeff Kolberg raised their hands and were willing to take on the work.

Why Sheriff 7s? In November 2025, Blake Blaylock passed away due to ALS. Blake embodied what it was to be a Dallas Red. Not only was he was an integral part of our 2022 15’s National Championship, but he was also an integral part of the multiple 7’s National Championships runs. He was an amazing teammate, coach, and friend. While he might have been known by other nicknames where he played, Blake is and will forever be known as Sheriff to the Dallas Rugby Community. We could not think of any other way to honor him than to name this tournament after him. Once a Red, Always a Red.

Men’s Qualifier / TOLA – Capped at 10 Teams, Guaranteed participation for qualifier sides ($400/Side)

Men’s Social – Capped at 8 Teams ($400/side)

Women’s Qualifier / TOLA / Social – Capped at 10 Teams, Guaranteed participation for qualifier sides ($350/Side

*If there are less than 6 teams signed up for the Men’s “Qualifier / TOLA Bracket” that all men’s teams will be combined into a single bracket.*

All players must CiPP’d and a roster with names and CiPP numbers of all players must be submitted via Email by 12pm (CST) Thursday, July 9, 2026 before the tournament. DRFC reserves the right to cancel any bracket or team registration at its discretion in exchange for a full refund
