Dallas Rugby Places 9th in the Nation, D2 Places 2nd in TOLA
Dallas, TX — Dallas D1 traveled to Kansas City for the 2019 Club 7s National Championship. On Day 1, the boys defeated Belmont Shore Gold, but lost to the eventual pool winners, Life West and Old Blue. On Day 2, the Reds advanced to the Bowl Finals and won in dramatic fashion after scoring 26 unanswered points against Belmont Shore Gold! To put things in perspective of how difficult the Reds’ pool draw was, Life West and Old Blue went on to earn 2nd and 3rd place, respectively, and Belmont Shore Gold did not lose to any other team on Day 2 besides the Reds. At the end of the tournament, Dallas players Narada Jackson and Ludwig Van Der Merwe were voted on the 7s Nationals Dream Team!
Additionally, the Division 2 team participated in the Shreveport Horseshoe 7’s Tournament this past weekend. The Reds came away with the tournament win, and placed then 2nd in TOLA.
